Riley and Midnight are not rescues -- they were very much loved and looked after by their previous owners.  We prefer to adopt these two very nice, and very well cared for, horses out together to a wonderful forever home.

Riley is a 10-year-old paint gelding estimated 15 hh.  He has one blue eye and one brown eye.  Riley has had training, including jumping, and has won 25+ ribbons in Western Pleasure.

Riley is an easy keeper, loves people, and will do what you want as long as he knows what that is.  He will, however, kick out when you clean his sheath.

He likes people, has good manners, cross ties, is quiet in a stall, and is easy to catch.  Riley is good with the farrier and vet, kids, and everyone!  He leads quietly but is high in the pecking order.

Riley was ridden routinely until February 2009.  He has been ridden some since, but not much.  He takes an English or Western saddle.  He is being adopted out as an English and/or Western Pleasure, low-level dressage, trails, or low- level jumping.  He wears a size 78 blanket, which he gets when the temps get down into the low 40s.  Riley tested HYPP N/N.

Adoption fee:  $550

Midnight is a QH gelding.  His coggins indicate he was born in 1994.  He is a beautiful dark bay (almost black) and estimated to be 15 hh.

Riley has a very nice disposition.  He likes people, has good manners, bathes, is easy to catch, is good with the vet and farrier, is good with shots, leads quietly, and is good with kids and everyone!  He is smart, cross ties, and is quiet in his stall.  He's also good with other horses.

His previous owner reported that he has arthritis in his right left hock.  Riley is great with children and would be good at teaching beginners to ride.  He is being adopted out as a horse for Western Pleasure, trails, or as a school/lesson horse.  He was ridden routinely until February 2009 and, since then, he has been ridden some, but not much.

Adoption fee:  $500
