BECOME
A HORSE ANGEL!
The Angel Program was
established to help horses in need by assisting rescue organizations in their
mission of helping horses. Horses come from auctions, kill buyers,
brokers, have been abandoned, and some come from owners that no longer
want them or can no longer care for them.
Often, a rescue organization has to pay to get the horse out of its
desperate situation and then pay to transport the horse to the rescue's location.
This alone is costly. These horses have probably been neglected and/or
abused and, once they are safe, they are in dire need of vet, farrier, and
dental care, which is also costly. Then there are the expenses that come
with every horse: feed, supplements, vet bills, chiropractic, wormers,
etc. The rehabilitation costs for most of these horses is high:
diagnostic testing, training, etc.

To give an idea
of what things cost:

Farrier Trim (no
shoes): $35
Bale of hay: $16
Bag of grain: $15 average
Bottle of flyspray: $20 (Endure)
Dental visit: $100 - $125
Chiropractic/Acupuncture treatment: $125
Bag of shavings: $7

These horses need, and deserve, caring people to help them. The
Angel Program is an effective way for you to do this. Maybe you
would like a horse of your own but do not have the facilities, time, or
money necessary to own your own horse. This program gives you the
opportunity to become involved in a particular horse's life and have a
direct impact on that horse. You only need to commit your heart to
one, or more, of these horses in need or to our rescue.
Won't you
please consider being an angel? There is no gift too big or too
small, but we do ask for a minimum monthly commitment of at least $25.
