Bouie & Frodo

Bouie and Frodo are quite the pair! These two have been pals for years and will stay together. They both approach you if you go anywhere close to their paddock. They get along good with other horses. They just love attention and we love to give it to them!
These boys are very inquisitive and kind. They are healthy and seem like two peas in a pod. They seem to know what the other is thinking! Bouie is a registered 10-year-old that is 37" tall. His right stifle locks up at times. Bouie has had preliminary driving training and was ridden by riders under 50 lbs. Bouie is very vocal and lets the neighborhood know it! Frodo is 6 years old and 29" tall. He is quite the character! He almost seems like Bouie's shadow! Froto has had no formal training.		The boys' whinnying "whoopee" a day after Bouie's surgery.

10/16/06: Bouie will be undergoing surgery to repair his locking stifle. It doesn't seem to bother him but we're afraid that he may have problems with the hip on the other side if it isn't fixed. 10/26/06: Bouie had his surgery today. Poor little guy hated leaving Frodo behind as much as Frodo hated Bouie leaving without him! Frodo whinnied the whole time Bouie was gone. 10/28/06: Bouie came home yesterday and rested. He went out to play with Frodo today and once he started trotting he figured out that his leg wasn't locking - it was so awesome to see! Once he realized his running wasn't impaired he ran and ran and ran! It was an expensive surgery but we're glad we could help. 11/06/06: Bouie and Frodo have very special angels. They say, "Thank you for being our angels, Mr. and Mrs. Davis! Since Bouie had his stifle fixed, we've been getting more exercise and running around having a great time -- but we're being very good. We hope you have a very nice Thanksgiving!" 03/11/08: The boys are doing great. Both look like BIG teddy bears and will be getting a body clip soon. UPDATE: We hope to be able to take these guys to visit with persons in retirement homes! Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, for being angels to these boys!
08/01/09: Frodo getting a bath from Jenny and Diane. He really didn't want a bath today, but he really needed one! Bouie was next. He was quite the little gentleman. Both were quite happy afterwards to go out to play in the arena.
