You must become a member of BHFER to adopt a horse.  After we receive your $25 non-refundable membership fee, we will consider your Adoption Application and begin processing your request.  Once we receive all required information, including letters of reference, and after we perform a site visit, we will make a final determination.

Please note that BHFER reserves the right to approve or deny a potential adoptive home at BHFER's sole discretion.  And adoption fees will increase as each horse receives additional training.

BHFER policy is such that we adopt within the State of Florida only, and we rarely adopt to boarding situations.  Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
