Tinkerbell

TInkerbell was a beautiful 24 yr old Appaloosa mare that had lived for many, many years without other horses.  She arrived to our rescue very arthritic.  It amazed us that she could even walk.  We put her in a paddock with Kiwi, an elderly blind and deaf Appaloosa mare.  They were perfect for each other.  TInkerbell became Kiwi's eyes and ears.

Tink had been on bute before she came to us.  We don't know how long she'd been on it but she had frequent tummy aches likely from ulcers.  In early October she had a case of colic which we worked through.  She got better but then took a turn for the worse again.  She had severe arthritis and ulcers - she likely had cancer as well.

Sadly, Tinkerbelle crossed Rainbow Bridge on October 18th, after 3 weeks of fighting colic and pneumonia.  We find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain.

Run pain free Tink - we love you!
