WELCOME "Little E"!

Little E is a 27 year old Arabian gelding that is just as sweet as they
come. He arrived in August, 2007. He's a tough one - he was struck by lightening about 2 years
ago and suffered burns on his legs, face, ears, eyes, and hips.
He's got a great appetite and just loves the grass. We've got him
on 5 meals a day - small portions. We'll increase the portion size
as time goes buy and decrease the number of times he is fed to three,
once he reaches a good weight.
He has a wonderful personality - whinnies when he sees you coming.
He really loves being groomed and has very polite manners. He also
seems very appreciative.

08/27/07: Little E got a trim today followed by a bath. He
was pampered!
He's going to need frequent little trims for awhile.
His back feet are giving him some discomfort.
We let him have his lunch before his bath. He REALLY loves to eat.
He does drop a lot of his grain - he needs his teeth done. We have
a call into the dentist to make an appointment.
He seemed to really enjoy his bath once he got used to the hose.

We had Little E's teeth done and it helped him a great deal. Bess
Darrow is our dentist and she is awesome. The horses all really
like her.
Bess says LIttle E is about 27 yrs old.Where
he has teeth in the top of his mouth he has none in the bottom.
But somehow he's found a way to graze and to eat alfalpha.

He's putting on some needed weight and is looking great.
He's got a great personality and makes us laugh.
He never fails to let us know when it is his time to eat.
He now gets 4 meals a day and all of the treats he can get! He loves the shredded carrots that Auntie Blodwyn
fixes for him when she comes. She's got him spoiled!

It's getting a bit chilly at night now.
Little E has a new stable sheet that fits him perfectly - compliments of PetSmart!
He's been gaining weight at a good rate and is now down to four meals a
day.

October 2007: Here is Little E with one of his Angels, SylverSky.
She traveled a long way to meet him and to bring him his own set of
Rhythm Beads. He also got to see Angel Susan again.
Lately Little E has been running - yes running - playing with CJ a lot
lately. He's looking great and is now getting 3 meals a day - now
we want him to maintain his weight. He really doesn't need to gain
much more. |

Here is Little E - but he's not so little anymore! He's gained
quite a bit of weight and is really looking great.
He has the run of the place and is the first to greet visitors.
Everyone really likes him He's funny at times and makes us laugh.
Little E goes into the main paddock, by choice at times, to run and play
with Chloe and to just check out the other horses. When he's done
he lets us know and he comes right back out. Sometimes its for
only a few minutes and sometimes its for hours. |
